ABOUT BODY WRAPS
Body wraps can aid in the healing of skin problems, tone and tighten the skin, improve circulation, alleviate muscle and joint pain, treat acne, detoxify the body and help mobilize fat so it can be eliminated from the body naturally.
The healing outcome of a body wrap is determined to some degree by your choice of ingredients. A body wrap does not need to have many ingredients to be effective but the ingredients that you chose should fit the purpose. A wrap can be very simple or it can be more complex with the addition of herbs, essential oils and nutritive ingredients.

BODY WRAP TIPS + SUGGESTIONS
• Choose a warm room or turn up the heat so the wrap won't lose its heat too quickly.
• Taking a warm shower before the wrap helps to open the pores.
• Do not shave your legs before the wrap.
• During a body wrap work minerals are infused through the skin and can help break down fat cells for elimination so drink lots of water both before and after your wrap to assist in flushing out the toxins and dislodged fat.
|
 |
|
• Keep a tall glass of water nearby so you can sip while you relax.
• Take a hot bath on the second or third day after a wrap to help open the pores and to release accumulated toxins from the skin.
• Light exercise and paying attention to your diet will also help to keep toxins to a minimum.
• Try to avoid caffeine, sugar, fried foods, nitrates and soda and drink lots of water.

MORE ON COSMETIC CLAYS
Clays have been used for centuries for cosmetic use, and are present in almost all traditional beauty regimens. They exfoliate, clean and invigorate the skin while also improving blood circulation. Clay has the ability to absorb excess oils, dirt and harmful toxins from the skin.
Cosmetic clays are made up of different mineral contents and each clay type has a different effect on the skin. The high mineral content of clay rejuvenates the skin while the clay exfoliates and stimulates blood circulation to the skin. Clay facials can help remove dead skin cells, improve circulation to the skin, remove debris from the pores and encourage a smooth healthy glow to the skin. Clays have the ability to absorb toxins from skin but they do differ in their level of absorption.
