MASSAGE stones

It pays to be choosy about your stone massage supplies – and we’re here to help.

The types of stones we recommend for face massage and facials are not just garden-variety stones. The stones we offer here are uniquely suited to enhance the stone massage experience – both hot and cold. The stones we recommend for hot stone massage are dark grey to black in color and have been weathered and tumbled naturally by the action of water in streams, rivers and oceans. Our stones also have a high percentage of iron, magnesium and other minerals, which make them extremely hard, dense and able to hold heat for long periods of time.

The white marble stones we use for cold stone massage are on the other end of the hardness spectrum or Mohs scale. Marble is actually “soft”, so it absorbs heat from the body. Our marble stones are also carefully carved into shapes and sizes including my own signature ‘teardrop’ stone and then polished and paired for each specific technique and modality by experienced professionals.
